VISION
An integrated wisdom starts in a healthy and balanced relationship of the feminine and masculine. This is the wisdom that is up to the task of more effectively organizing human society so that it is sustainable and truly prosperous.

A vital community that celebrates and acts from feminine wisdom in every part of life already exists and is growing by leaps and bounds.

MISSION
The Wisdom Leadership Initiative exists to cultivate and celebrate the wisdom of the feminine.

ORIGINS
The Wisdom Leadership Initiative began as the inspiration of Karen Wilhelm Buckley in early 2003. As a Board member of Spirit in Business helping to create their 2nd World Conference, Karen realized that the depth and breadth of women's wisdom and leadership needed to be fully integrated in order to produce a relevant and dynamic conference. Out of this insight came the idea for a Women's Forum to open the 2003 conference. In response, a enthusiastic volunteer team stepped forward and produced The Wisdom and Power of Women Leaders --- a resounding success!

Subsequent Women's Forums were created for the World Business Academy's conference in Santa Barbara, March 2004 and for the 3rd Spirit in Business international conference in Zurich, Switzerland, October 2004. A retreat for women, representing 12 different countries, in Switzerland, April 2005, deepened our commitment to developing feminine wisdom and articulating the many ways it contributes to building vital communities.
